Recognition of Authentic Montessori Practice

Recognition of Authentic Montessori Practice by ME UK is a quality assurance process that is designed to help you continuously develop and enhance the Montessori practice in your setting. It consists of an ongoing programme of support, guidance and improvement for you and all your members of staff, which ensures that your setting continues to embody the highest Montessori standards.

The Recognition process is an affirming one, and the length of time it takes to attain varies according to the different needs of each setting. It involves self-appraising your current practice, with the support of a professional adviser, a process which highlights areas to focus on and develop in preparation for the virtual visit by your professional adviser, an important part of the on-going consultation process.

Recognition of Authentic Montessori Practice is not an inspection. In fact, it is quite the opposite. We aim to facilitate your growth and the growth of your staff team as skilled Montessori practitioners by highlighting the great aspects of your practice and offering new ideas and interpretations to ensure that your Montessori environment is achieving the very best it can for each and every one of your children.

Why Should the Practice in Your Setting be Recognised as Authentic by ME UK?

To celebrate and show your commitment to authentic Montessori practice.
To give parents reassurance of quality in the care and education of their children.

4. Finally

The process continues with dialogue, requests for clarification and more information, and a virtual visit by the professional adviser to your setting in operation.

As you work through the process, help and support is always on hand from our team of professional advisers, who are only a phone call away.

When all the fact-finding is complete, the Recognition Committee considers all the evidence and determines whether you have met the Recognition Criteria, and can be Recognised, or whether you are still Aspiring, with a few more things still to work on.
